God Bless American - 9/11/2001 Remebered

Welcome to a blog hop devoted to the remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11th. There are ten of us blog friends who have joined talents to bring you our own special ways of remembering the day that changed the United States of America and the rest of the World forever.

If you have happened here by chance, please continue on to Tami our hostess and the beginning of this very special and personal blog hop.

"Exhibit 13" is the last song on the Blue Man Group's album The Complex. The song's title comes from a scorched piece of paper which blew into the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York on September 11, 2001 immediately after the attacks on the World Trade Center. The audio inter-cut, in the song, is a recitation of the contents of other documents found in that same park. (Wikipedia) Please click on and listen to the video as you scroll through this blog that remembers those who died on 9/11 - 10 years ago today.

We will never forget!
Where were you on 9/11?

I wanted to use a white background to make the pictures stand out and then the blue inked boarder and red inked background with the red photo frames just happened and it looked better having all three of the colors that stand for America.

I picked the colored paper because as I stared at the pictures from that awful day, drab colors kept entering my mind. Drab colors that looked like the buildings as they became rubble and a bare space on the ground left by a plane.

Here is what I typed up in the middle of my layout.

My layout is a history for my children and my great-grand children and hopefully my great-great grandchildren.

God bless American.

  9. I loved that you answered a question many have asked about where God was on that fateful morning. He was there in the midst of it all. I loved the musical clip as well. I am honored to be a part of this Blog Hop today. It is only by the grace of God that I held it together in front of my first grade class that fateful day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful remembrance piece.

  10. Jearise, first please let me say thank you for joining in on my hop. You did a great job on your L/O and it is nice that we have made things for our future generations to be handed down and hopefully with some information of how we spent that time and handled all of the emotions and questions of the aftermath. However, children need answers. You did a great job trying to help them cope through such a struggling time and questions of why. tfs Tami

  12. Jearise, thank you for telling how it is man who does these things..God will not MAKE us do right, he gave us free will hoping we would make the right decisions and unfortunately there are those who don't but He IS there in the aftermath to help the healing process. I know that this travesty HURT my God and He cried that day too...
