If you have happened here by chance, please continue on to Tami our hostess and the beginning of this very special and personal blog hop.
"Exhibit 13" is the last song on the Blue Man Group's album The Complex. The song's title comes from a scorched piece of paper which blew into the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York on September 11, 2001 immediately after the attacks on the World Trade Center. The audio inter-cut, in the song, is a recitation of the contents of other documents found in that same park. We will never forget!
I wanted to use a white background to make the pictures stand out and then the blue inked boarder and red inked background with the red photo frames just happened and it looked better having all three of the colors that stand for America.
I picked the colored paper because as I stared at the pictures from that awful day, drab colors kept entering my mind. Drab colors that looked like the buildings as they became rubble and a bare space on the ground left by a plane.
My layout is a history for my children and my great-grand children and hopefully my great-great grandchildren.
God bless American.
