My Life in Arts’ n Crafts’
Design Team Blog Hop

Valentines Day is right around the corner, so we are getting ready by showing our valentine creations.  You should be coming from Pam's Blog.
If not head on over to Jessi’s to get started.
I have used RED MESH RIBBON from the My Life in Arts’ n Crafts’ store. Jessi has some amazing new products over there, go take a look.

I made an easel card and stamped it and then heat embossed with Recollections chunky embossing powder. I then went back in and colored the rose, heart, and leaves with my Promarkers. The RED MESH RIBBON gave it that perfect touch in the background. The stamp was designed in the US and is numbered K-3117.

Jessi is giving away some goodies from her store to one lucky person who comments on all the blogs in the hop as well as you must be a follower.
Extra entry if you like the My Life in Arts’ n Crafts’ fan page. Comment on My Life in Arts’ n Crafts’ fan page, telling her you’ve done so.
Extra entry , OMG that means you have three chances to win!! Once you’ve gotten through the hop, head back over to Jessi’s blog and comment again saying what product you’d like to win.  So you might wanna check out the store and decide. One lucky person will win their choice. Make sure you leave a way to get in contact you.

The Mad Hatter Tea Party

<center badge>

Welcome to The Mad Hatter's Tea Party. If you happen to fall in the rabbit's hole you have landed in the wacky wonderful world of Alice where we're all mad here! The March Hare is scurring and hoping you won't be late in attending and wishing our hostess a Happy Birthday!!! She does love celebrating her birthday and what better way than to have a tea party with all of her favorite friends in this Wonderland!!!!

There are some wonderful sponsors today to help us celebrate:

Rick St. Dennis has some fabulous digi's and he is offering three of these to one lucky winner. You can fine him at http://rickstdennis.blogspot.nl/ and he asks that you become a follower.

Here's my project which I hope you enjoy

I made a Alice in Wonderland standing card. I found a vintage picture of Alice looking at the tiny door and couldn't resist using my Promarkers to color her and then I got the crazy idea of using my utility knife and cutting around part of her, inserting orange tulle to look like the curtain and giving it some detention which you can see in the pictures below.

Thank you for stopping and enjoying a cup of tea and perhaps crumpets with me! Your next stop along the party hop is Jenny or just follow the March Hare and don't be late for a very important date!

Chalk N Stock DT Monday

It's Monday and that means a chalk project to showcase. There is a challenge going on at Chalk N Stock called anything goes. All you have to do is use chalk somewhere on your project to enter. The winner gets some digital stamps from Bugaboo Digital Stamps.

Today I've colored the cutest little girl digital stamp from The Stamping Chef. She's a freebie over there so it's worth the click to see what The Stamping Chef has to offer. I know you'll get hooked like I have.

I colored my little girl's face, hair, arms, legs, socks and most of her dress using chalks. I used my wonderful Pebbles Inc chalks with a combination of regular and shimmer. I find the shimmer have a darker color to them so they are great for the edging on your projects.

I tried something different this time and used my metallic markers in silver and blue to color her shoes, bow, underskirt, and headband plus I used the silver metallic to make an outline around this digi and to use it on the outside edge of the white postage stamp background.

I used my Cuddlebug and the rose embossing folder to add the rose embossed background and the embossed and cut out are Spellbinder's Nestabilities that fit in my Cuddlebug.

The beautiful pink jute comes from My Life in Arts N Crafts and it's the first time I've used this pink color but I know I will be using it quite a bit in the future. It's got a very soft color to it that I really like.

I am entering this card in the Blue, White and Silver challenge at The Stamping Chef.

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy your Monday!

Chalk N Stock Jan DT Challenge Post

Good morning. Were you able to hop along with us yesterday in our White as Snow Hop? If not, there is still time. There were some great prizes to be given out from The Cutting Cafe, Anita and Bugs and myself.

Today I would like to announce the January Challenge for Chalk N Stock. You know how much I love using chalk in my projects and this time around I tried Pebbles Metallic Cream Chalks in my project.

I used the cream chalks to color the flowers and then I used color pencils to color the buds, stem, and add a touch of color to the grass and butterflies. I loved the way the cream chalk blends. I used two different colors of purple on my flowers. When I finished coloring the picture I used my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Candy Apple to add the golden red glimmer to it. I so love the way this turned out.

The half pearls are from Miriam's Crafting Supplies.

Here's a close up.

Here is the link again to the Chalk N Stock January Challenge if you are interested and thank you so much for stopping by today.

White as Snow Blog Hop

Welcome to the White as Snow Blog Hop where the idea was to either create something that has white as a primary color or as the background. I'm sure some of these crafty bloggers got creative and combined both but you will only be able to find out by hopping along with us today...

I'm the hostess for this hop and it's a good idea to start here so you don't miss anything. I have a give away with this hop so see what I've created and then read on to see what you could win.

We also have a guest blogger, Anita from Anita and Bugs, who has an awesome give away on her blog.

Our wonderful sponsor for today's blog hop is THE CUTTING CAFE  so please make sure you visit their online store to see all the wonderful cutting and printable files they have.

The Cutting Cafe is giving away to one lucky winner 3 files of their choice. To qualify, you need to visit The Cutting Cafe store and then "like" The Cutting Cafe on FACEBOOK  and let Regina, the owner, know that you came from the White as Snow Blog. I can tell you now that if you like printable sayings and cutting files, you will love her designs and she has specials going on all the time on her FACEBOOK page.

Now on to the hop...

I used two files from The Cutting Cafe for my projects. The second card I used the Snowflake Huge Circle...Digital Stamp Set and the first card I used the Fun With Snowflakes.

I used a light blue vellum on the inside of the card to give it a little color both inside and on the outside edge.
The golden yellow rhinestones come from Miriam's Crafting Supplies.

The half pearl comes from Miram's Crafting Supplies.
I used Promarkers to add a touch of color to the snowflakes.
The light blue twine came from My Life in Arts and Crafts.
I did a combination of both dry and heat embossing on each card. I did a video to explain how I add embossing powder to my embossed surfaces. Please enjoy the video before seeing what I have for my blog prize. I will pick one winner for those that hop through and leave a comment on my blog. I would love to have you as a new follower but I'll leave that up to you.

The video involved my second card and the Huge Circle Set.

One lucky winner will get the embossing folder, a bottle of the embossing powder I used on my cards, and some bling like what I used on my first card. The rhinestones come from Miriam's Crafting Supplies. The place to go for bling and buttons. Just leave me some words in that word box below and that will qualify you for the drawing.

KCC - Vinyl Challenge Blog Hop

Welcome to the Vinyl Décor blog hop with our Krazy Crafting Crew. A whole new year of themes and more specific projects to inspire you with. If you have just stumbled upon the hop and would like to start at the beginning Lissa Marie is your host at www.somanycrafts.com. She has a video tutorial on how to apply the vinyl, and is also doing a vinyl give away so you don’t want to miss out on that!

If you just came from Liz's blog you are in the right spot, so let’s keep on hoppin’!

I have worked with vinyl before but that was a few years ago so to be honest, I forgot how to cut it and procrastinated on doing my project. The project came about even before the hop though so this hop was a motivator to get it done.

My 6 year old son made the coolest picture in art class about two months ago so I had to have it framed. The problem was that the picture didn't fit inside the frame like it should so I had to figure out what to do. It was my mother in law who came up with the idea to add the vinyl to the glass to cover the areas that needed covering.

I forgot to take the before picture. Silly me...

Before I started I prepped my glass by cleaning it with glass cleaner.
I used transfer paper but at 1.5 inches by 6 inches but since I was working with such a small strip I found that I didn't need to really use it. I found the I could use the transfer strip over and over again saving on transfer paper. I'm cheap.
I also had a little trouble with the ends wanting to come up even with the transfer paper. I found an exacto knife used gently will help bring up a corner of the vinyl.

Here is a picture of me using the vinyl cat at .25 inches. I found the perfect design on the Accent Essentials cartridge for my Circut Expression with blade depth set at 1 and speed at medium.

As you can see this was too small a cut so I tried a one inch cut...

One inch was too big so I tried 3/4 inch and it was what I needed. I needed to overlap the vinyl at the corners and middle area on the longer sides but you can't tell unless you're looking for it.
    And the final project...
    AFTER THE VINYL

You also don’t want to miss out on the sponsor opportunity to win some free digis from Scrapbook Stamp Society. One person who comments on ALL blogs will get 3 new digi’s and an extra entry if you like the Scrapbook Stamp Society Facebook page  at https://www.facebook.com/ScrapbookStampSociety
