Here is today's project:
I made this adorable ornament gift bag using the file "Holiday Cheer Gift Boxes." The wreath on the outside came from the file "All the Trimmings."

I handmade some ornaments to go inside.
Now my story...

I have lived in Tucson, AZ for the past 7 years. I felt like a fish out of water until I had my youngest two children and joined a mom's play group. I became very close to the moms in the group and even now that our children are in different schools we are still very close and get together on weekends with the kids and during the summer.

I started, while in the mom's group, having Christmas get togethers just for the moms at my house. Each year we would get together to make jewelry or crafts. I am doing this again this weekend but with a heavy heart. My hubby took a job in Austin, TX and we'll be moving there in the near future. I would usually be packed up and out the door before my husband knew what was going on but this time it is so hard to go since I have become so close to these ladies. I will miss them dearly.

Tomorrow at our Mom's Night In I will be having drawings for various crafty things and my special bag and ornaments will be going home with one of my very close and dear friends.

Your next stop is Corri's blog

Thank you for stopping by tonight and don't forget to come back tomorrow evening to see what I've created and to read another story of Gifts From The Heart.

Bread Basket into Cookie Basket

Click  HERE for the Secret Sister Blog Hop

Good Monday Morning....
This past Friday my daughter celebrated her birthday with her class by having mom bring in a treat. I made raspberry chocolate chip cookies and then I decided I needed something fancy to deliver them so I warmed up the computer and the eClips and opened up my SVG Attic file and found the perfect thing.

I used the bread box from Holly's Holiday Boxes which you can buy at SVG Attic. Didn't this bread box turn into the perfect cookie box? My daughter and all the little girls in her class loved it.

Join me next Monday to see how I use the wonderful files from SVG Attic and don't forget about the SVG Attic blog hop this coming Friday and Saturday, December 9th and 10th.

Happy Monday from Jearise in Lorby's World.

Merry Christmas and thank you for stopping by our hop today as we reveal the wonderful projects we have made for our "Secret Sisters". With blog hopping and crafting, we have all become sisters. What was done -- those of us were interested we given a "Secret Sister"  to craft something special. Not only do we have a Secret Sister but we also gave some "hints" as to Our Favorite Things. How special is that. Now, ssshhhhhh, please don't tell our Secret Sisters as it hasn't been revealed yet as to who has who while you hop along with us!!!!

I'm the beginning of the hop so you've started at the right place and please continue on to my dear friend Lynne's blog but please check out what my gift is before you do that. : )

This is what I made my Secret Sister...
I wanted to do something with beads since I like beading as much as paper crafts so I made this poinsettia ornament.
Here is a little something to go along with my ornament. I was Joann's awhile back and fell in love with these stamps. They're just the right size for an A2 card.

I have a card too but forgot to get a picture of that. Oops. I hope my Secret Sister enjoys her special gifts.
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Good Tidings to You and Yours from Jearise in Lorby's World.

Don't forget about the blog candy as you hop on over to Lynne's.

********************************************
Welcome and Merry Christmas.
I can't tell you who I'm secret Santa for but I can give you a peak at the gift I am whisking away to them...
I made this ornament for her tree.
But I had to go ahead and buy her something to scrap with too. I just fell in love with these stamps and may go back to Joann's to buy myself some.
I figured since I made the ornament that I needed to make a box and tag. The box with it's embellishment came from SCGCuts.com and the tag came from a holiday tags and stamp set by Inkadinkado.

I drew the design on the ornament and colored the top of the ornament with metallic markers.
The green paper for the star is ColorBok pearlescent paper and the yellow star background is yellow glitter paper and I painted glitter Mod Podge on the blue overlay for the star. The whole bag is very sparkly but you can't really tell in any of the pictures. Sorry.

Thank you for stopping by and seeing my creations for a very special lady. I am wishing you all a very merry Christmas full of secret Santas and special gifts. Jearise in Lorby's World.

I'm at the end of the blog hop so you can take a break and go refill your hot coco and head on over to Creative Kuts. : )

"All About Winter" Blog Hop

Welcome to the "All About Winter" Blog Hop!!

We're so happy you could join us for this super-fun hop showcasing cards, layouts and projects that feature everything fun about snow, ice, and cold!!  You'll find an array of ideas throughout the hop -- We hope you'll enjoy each and every project along the way!!

If you've hopped over from INSERT NAME/LINK of person BEFORE YOU, then you are in the right place!!  If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and you'd like to join our All-About-Winter  FUN, then please CLICK HERE (http://www.memoriesintyme.blogspot.com/) to start at the beginning with Lynda's blog!!  Keep alert for blog candy along the way as some hop stops will be offering some goodies...

For the hop today, I've created a snowflake card with the sediment "Dashing through the Snow." Even though, I live in sunny Tucson, Arizona now, I grew up in the cold and blowing winter snows of Michigan so I know what it's like to bundle up in layers of clothes to the point you can't walk and you hope you don't have to go the bathroom for hours.

I love our winters in Tucson but I miss snow and playing in it. I always looked forward and was hopeful for the first snow to come on Thanksgiving and was thrilled to have fresh snow come Christmas day but by the time the middle of January rolled around - cabin fever had set in.

Paper - K&Company Yuletide cardstock
Stamps - Oriental Trading sentiment and Scrappy Cat snowflakes
Red Glitter Embossing Powder - Stampendous!
A2 card I came up with using my eClips machine
Cutout Snowflake - from eSCAL shapeds library

Thank you again for checking out my project...  Now hop on over to Nancy's blog.

Girlie Girl Blog Hop

Welcome to the Girlie-Girl Blog Hop, where all things girlie girl will be seen. Each person has their own interpretation of what girlie girl means so this hop should be fun.

Lorby's World is our hostess for this hop so please begin the hop at her blog: (which is right here and right now) and continue through from there.

I will be giving away a $10 gift card to winner's choice of Michael's or Joann's. Rules to be in the drawing: 1. Comment on all the blogs. (These ladies have put a lot of time and effort into their projects so show them the love.) 2. Become a follower on Lorby's World blog.

Here is a complete line up:

************************************
I decided to do one of my explosion boxes. I just love the paper. It's so, well, girlie girl.
The paper is K&Company Watercolor bouquet.

The explosion box file comes from SVGCuts.
Each saying I embossed in gold ink and comes from a stamp set by Fisker.

I curled the pedals on all the little flowers. That was time consuming but so worth it. I also added gold embossing to each journal tag.

Thank you so much for stopping by and now please continue on to see what girlie girl treat Ashley has in store for you.

Christmas Joy Layout using SVGAttic files

Click for  GIRLIE GIRL BLOG HOP

Please I am just so excited this morning! Why, you ask? I am one of the newest members of the design team for SVGAttic. I love their files and they work great on both my Cricut Expression and my Sizzix eClips. The newest version of SCAL (eSCAL) which is for the eClips, arrived on my doorstop on Monday.

The December challenge at SVG attic is asking that us crafters get creative with the colors: red/green/pink/blue and white. Head over to SVG attic see all the rules and to get in on the fun!

Here is my design team project...

The lovely ornaments and snowflakes come from the ALL THE TRIMMINGS at SVG attic. There is even an adorable penguin and a drum-a-rum-rum in the set plus more.

Bazzill cardstock in purple for the background
K&Company Wintertide paper for the ornaments, words, and second layer of the snowflakes
DCWV premium glitter stack was used for the top layer of the snowflakes which were cut at 4 inches, 3.5 inches, and 3 inches
Words "Christmas Joy" were TTF Frenchscript which I welded together in Inkscape and cut at 2 inches.

Stickles glitter was used for the middle of each snowflake and the design in each corner of each page
ColorBox ink in gold was used for the ornament top and around the outside edges of each ornament.
Thank you for stopping by today and if you have any questions or comments, please leave them. I love to hear from my followers and friends.
