More Bumblebees and sunflowers

Hi all! Today I am sticking to my fall sunflower and bumble bee theme by using the sunflower and bee swirl border ID #46802

This cutting file is so useful because it works at different sizes without needing a lot of extra embellishments. I used it on an A2 card but you could use it on a 5 x 7 card or the corner of a fall scrapbook layout.

Have a great creative day! Jearise from Lorby's World

Look what's going on at Snapdragon Snippets.

Don't forget about our September challenge going on now! Get creative with our files and link up here September Fall Contest with Snapdragon Snippets and SVG Attic.

"All About Winter" Blog Hop

Welcome to the "All About Winter" Blog Hop!!

We're so happy you could join us for this super-fun hop showcasing cards, layouts and projects that feature everything fun about snow, ice, and cold!!  You'll find an array of ideas throughout the hop -- We hope you'll enjoy each and every project along the way!!

If you've hopped over from INSERT NAME/LINK of person BEFORE YOU, then you are in the right place!!  If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and you'd like to join our All-About-Winter  FUN, then please CLICK HERE (http://www.memoriesintyme.blogspot.com/) to start at the beginning with Lynda's blog!!  Keep alert for blog candy along the way as some hop stops will be offering some goodies...

For the hop today, I've created a snowflake card with the sediment "Dashing through the Snow." Even though, I live in sunny Tucson, Arizona now, I grew up in the cold and blowing winter snows of Michigan so I know what it's like to bundle up in layers of clothes to the point you can't walk and you hope you don't have to go the bathroom for hours.

I love our winters in Tucson but I miss snow and playing in it. I always looked forward and was hopeful for the first snow to come on Thanksgiving and was thrilled to have fresh snow come Christmas day but by the time the middle of January rolled around - cabin fever had set in.

Paper - K&Company Yuletide cardstock
Stamps - Oriental Trading sentiment and Scrappy Cat snowflakes
Red Glitter Embossing Powder - Stampendous!
A2 card I came up with using my eClips machine
Cutout Snowflake - from eSCAL shapeds library

Thank you again for checking out my project...  Now hop on over to Nancy's blog.

Welcome to the Things I'm Thankful for Blog Hop

Please click here for the Thankful Hearts Blog Hop
***************
Welcome to the Things I'm Thankful For Blog Hop. This blog hop runs from November 18th through November 19th. For a lot of people, Thanksgiving has become a day to watch football, eat turkey, and watch the Macy's Day Parade. While these are not bad things, some believe the most important part of Thanksgiving is giving thanks to God for our many blessings. God was very much a part of that first Thanksgiving. Although some would say it was just a day of celebration. Historical records show it was a time to give thanks to God.The pilgrims looked at everything as a gift from God, even the sorrowful things they saw as God allowing them to perfect their character. So with that being said we have created this "Things I'm Thankful" blog hop to show you some things we are thankful for and some wonderful things we think of when we think of Thanksgiving. We’ve had so much fun creating this hop, and we have a wonderful line up with some oh-so-talented creators. You will see some lovely projects having to do with Thanksgiving and things we are thankful for and have a chance to win some blog candy along the way. If you have come from (person before you blog info) you are right on track if not you can start at the beginning Honey Bearz Designs. I am so glad you joined us today!

I have a card today that I made for a very special aunt and uncle back in Michigan. These two have stepped in watching out for me after my parents' deaths and I am close to them and their children who are only a few years younger than I. Let me remind you that I am in my 40's. It's people like this that make a family a family. Thank you Aunt Kathy and Uncle Pete.
The card is an A2 from a fall DSWV card box and then I used striped fall paper from the DCWV Amber Autumn stack. I embossed the design using Wet Look Embossing Markers and white embossing powder. I colored in the design with Bic markers and then I put gold Color Box pigment stamp over the whole thing. I wish I could have gotten a better picture because you end up with a very cool design. The "Thankful" is from Ashlen's Alphabet cut at 3/4 inches high.

I hope you have enjoyed this hop to show thanks during this wonderful time of year. Please add any comments or questions and if you're in a "click" mood, I would love to have you as a follower. Happy Thanksgiving.

Your next stop is Ashley's.

I want to send a thankful blessing to two special people in my life so I have made them both cards.

One card is going to my Great Aunt Billie, my grandmother's youngest sister. She is in her mid 90s but still lives in her own home that she and her husband bought back in the 1950's.  My aunt is very talented as well as my grandmother and all the Harley girls were. They all sang, danced and did arts and crafts. My great-aunt has had articles written about her home at Christmas time twice in the Detroit Free Press because she has hand made over 5000 ornaments that she use to put up during the holiday season.

The design in the middle comes from the Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge and is cut at 3 1/2 inches. The colors are washed out but the patterned paper behind showing through the wholes is bright yellow.  The paper comes from the DCWV Amber Autumn stack.

The other card goes to a very special lady also in her 90s. It is my husband's grandmother.  She started her life in Nebraska but then married and moved to Seldotna, Alaska and finally she has settled in Boise, Idaho. She is a wonderful lady and I am thankful that I have had the pleasure of meeting her and having her meet her grand-babies.
The round design in the middle is also from the Accent Essentials cartridge from Cricut and cut at 3 inches. I used stickles glitter in green and gold to accent it. I used Stampendous embossing powder in Jeweled Gold  and then colored in the different areas with my Bic markers.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look and I do hope you'll join us again tomorrow. I love comments and followers just to put a bug in your ear. Now please head on over to Ashley's the glamorous side of scrapping so you can see what she is thankful for.

Welcome to the 13 Days of Halloween Blog Hop.  This hop is scheduled from Oct. 19 at 8:00 am through Oct.31 at 11:00 pm (central time).  It's that time of year when the nights are all spooky and creatures are known to wander the forests.  So sit for a spell with a nice cup of hot apple cider and check out all the great projects.

Velcome to my blog. Mwa ha ha.

The next three days I'll be featuring cards made from studio g. I love these little cards because they challenge me to get creative with them.

Here's the first one I got creative with:

Pumpkin paper: Cloud9 Design (Their Harvest, Halloween, and Christmas combo stack from last year.)
Gold glitter for face and background for sticker: DCWV glitter stack
Sticker: Stickety-Doo-Da Halloween Pack

BLOG CANDY - It's like Halloween candy but without the calories.

I'll be throwing something from my stash into a BIG box each day and at the end of the hop I will draw a name and one lucky person gets it all.

There are only two requirements for this: 1. leave a comment with your email address 2. Become a follower or state it in your comment if you are one already.

(Every time you leave a comment, you get your name in the drawing again so if you stop by all 13 days then you're name will be in the drawing 13 times so who says 13 is an unlucky number?)

Here's today's drop in the box. It's a bag of designed chipboard tags and circles and whatnot.

Beware of ghosts and werewolves as you continue on your journey to Tami and we'll see you tomorrow. : ) Jearise in Lorby's World.

Paper Making Card

This spring, my children and I took on the task of making our own paper. We had so much fun doing it but it is messy. I cut the paper up into small enough sized to fit on card stock and then put it away. I dug a piece out the other day and made this card.

Card Stock - pre-folded cards from DCWV
Home Make paper - blender and home made paper kit from Amazon
Butterfly sticker - K & Company
Stamp - Fisker ???
Ribbon - Sheer Creations a Michael's exclusive
Ink - ColorBox (used on sediment)

I have more home made paper in different colors that I plan on using for future cards so stay tuned to see what is up my sleeve. Thanks for taking the time to look today and if you have any questions or comments, just head to my comment section or email me. : )
