Fast Food Take Out Anniversary Blog Hop

Would you believe that it has actually been a whole year since Lynne started blogging?

To help her celebrate a crafty bunch of her friends have come together to have a fun blog hop that focuses on fast food take out. Fast food today is the comfort food of yesterday and we all have to admit that a quick trip through the local fast food drive through satisfies whatever craving we're having and washes away our troubles for at least a few minutes.

Let's go through this drive-through of projects and please make sure you started at Lynne's blog since she is our hostess and the starting point for this blog.

My favorite fast food is french fries: hot, crispy, and lots of salt. Yum!

I used Inkscape to create this fries card but now I need your help. I was trying to come up with a saying that used the word fries in it but just couldn't to save me. The only pun I came up with was, "Fries for the Memories." I know bad. So I am asking all my blogging friends to help me out and in my comments leave me a fry pun to put inside my card. I'll have a special gift for the one I choose so it will be worth your trouble. : ) Don't forget to leave your email address so I can let you know if you've won. Thanks and be punny.

Below I show pictures of the steps I did to make this card. I got all done and discovered I had done something wrong. Can you figure it out?

Scroll down to find out what it is...

I couldn't be in today's hop because I have so much on my plate. We are in the process of buying a house and packing. Also, my die cutting machine decided to die this week. R.I.P.

I am soldering on though and having my great blog friend, Her Craftiness -  Lynne, as my guest designer today. She has a cute Cinco De Mayo card to share with you.
Aren't Alvin and his buddies adorable and colorful on this card? Lovin' it here. Thanks Lynne for passing along this card.

Lynne's recipe for making this card:
card is an A2
paper is lime green with Mini Kid's Slab for insert
Alvin and the Chipmunks were found doing a google search and cut out

DT Monday for SVG Attic

Good Monday Morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and blessed Mother's Day. For today's project at SVG Attic, I made this cute little box.

I used the new release Nesty Boxes to make these two little special boxes that I filled with goodies and gave to the teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week last week but these boxes are the perfect 4 inch side to fill and say thank you or have a happy birthday or even just happy day.

The flower come from the  3D Spring Flower set.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week! Hugs from Jearise in Lorby's World.

A Mother's Love Blog Hop

Welcome to A Mother's Love Blog Hop hosted by Lynne and the place to begin your hopping. . . What a wonderful blessing of a "mother's love" as it is unconditional! Today we are expressing our love for our mothers and all female role models in our lives.

We have the very most phenomenal blog candy to one lucky winner to either keep or give as a gift. Lisa Woodward, who is not only an awesome crafter but also owns her own business: Simply Silverton, is offering a soap, lotion and baths gift set in the winners choice of fragrance!!! How great of a blog candy is that! Lisa's business is simplysilverton so please take a minute to stop by her site and see her wonderful projects.

For my first project I make this lovely gift bag for a mother. It's just the perfect side for some delicious chocolate. Yum!
I re-enforced the inside fold of the top with tape so it wouldn't rip.
I used Velcro to close the top.
I created the flower myself in Inscape and used Tatter Angels Glitter Mist on it.
I made the tag with embossing/cut out for my Cuddlebug and the stamp is from the Mother's Day stamps from Shabby Chic Stamp Co.

My second project is a card I designed in Inkscape and cut out using my Sizzix eClip die cutting machine. I found a card similar to it on Piniterest and said to myself that I could design something similar and make it and I did.

I love the sentiment I used on the inside of the card. The stamps for the outside and inside are "Mother's Day" from Shabby Chic Stamp Co.. I love their Mother and Father's Day stamps.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and now continue on to Anita.

Movie Night Blog Hop

Today, we are celebrating all those characters that come alive on the screen. If you came from Audrey, then you are in the right spot. If you just happened to visit me today, I wouldn't want you to miss one movie preview and would want you to start with Lisa at http://handmadewithlovelisa.blogspot.com/.

Don't you just the buttery theater popcorn? I have to admit that is one thing I will splurge on when I go to see a movie so for my project I designed and made a popcorn bag. This bag won't hold popcorn from the theater but it holds three bags of microwave popcorn which is a great idea to give as a gift. I am making at least of these to give to teachers for Teacher Appreciation today. Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

I used Inkscape to design this popcorn gift bag and then used my wonderful Sizzix Eclips to cut it out.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look I really appreciate it. Hugs from Jearise in Lorby's world.

There is a great line-up today for the hop and I wouldn't want you to miss a single spot:

Flowers, Flowers Everywhere - Day 2

Flowers, flowers, everywhere flowers...Don't you just love flowers? They bring color and beauty along with fragrance to our world and that is why this hop is celebrating them in all their glory. Hop along to see how the crafty people in our line up have used flowers in and on their projects.

Our Hostess for this hop is Lissa Marie and her site is the place to start if you've happened upon this hop by accident and want to see more pretty flowers. Otherwise continue on and enjoy all the color and beauty of flowers everywhere.

I'm showing off another set of Thank You cards. These cards are going to be teacher's gifts this coming week for Teacher Appreciation Week. The flower is from 3D Spring Flowers from SVG Attic. I embossed the petals with my Cuddlebug before assembling the flower.

Thank you for joining our hop these past two days and I hope you enjoyed yourself. Now continue on to Robin's blog.

The Dance Blog Hop - May 5th

Please take my hand and dance through these wonderful blogs with me where creative people have taken their talents and put them to work in creating things with the theme of Dance.

Our hostess for this hop is Gill, so please start at her blog if you just started the hop here and that way you won't miss out on any of the wonderful creations.

I created a layout for my daughter who is in her fourth year of dance and will be preforming in ballet and hiphop the night of her recital.

Please click on the pictures to enlarge. I lost my good camera so the pictures aren't as good as I would like.
paper used is from Recollections "The Ballet"
ballet slippers from SVG Cuts
little ballerina from Treasure Box Design's "Tu Tu Cute"

Thank you for stopping by and whirl your way over to Jamie's Blog.
