I hear more buzzing.

I was buzzing around the internet the other day when I came across Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog.

Each month they have a themed challenge and give away one of their digital stamps to use for it. I decided to step up to the challenge and buzz happily along with the rest of those that entered. If you haven't figured it out yet, their challenge is titled: A Little Note to Bug You.

They gave away a free digital stamp for the challenge and I used that on yesterday's card. You can get the free digital stamp to use when you go to the challenge linked above.

While I was on the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog, I started looking at older posts and found other cute free digital stamps from previous challenges. It was one of those adorable freebies that I used for today's card.

I didn't add any words to the outside because I thought the "honey" was good enough so I focused on the inside saying and I found this adorable acrylic stamp:

Yes, I smudged it when I was stamping and now I am trying to figure out how to get rid of it. I found out that using an eraser is NOT the answer and will only make it worse.

This adorable little bee was also easy to color. I used colored pencils for the bee body but I used chalk for the pot and lid and a touch of Stickle's glitter glue for the wings. I am also entering this in the Scribbles Designs Challenge #40: A little not to BUG you.

There is still time to get into this challenge which ends at midnight on the 30th. They are asking for "cute" bug themed cards to add to their link and the top scribblers will receive $10 worth of digital images and then next top 3 receive $3 worth of digital images and Bugaboo Digi Stamps are donating 7 digital stamps of the winner's choice. Now those are some take flight over prizes!

Pop back tomorrow when I'll have news about our newest challenge at Chalk N Stock.

Here is one of my entries...

I love the little stamp sayings and I so wish I could tell you the name of it. They are see through rubber stamps and there are many more on the sheet.

This adorable little bee was easy to color. I used colored pencils for the bee body. I had to grab my Stickles Icicle glitter for the wings.

Crafting Causes Clutter?!.

I don't know if other people have this problem but I sure do. I drift around the web and see such cute things being done that I say outloud to myself, "I want to try that."

I head out to the sales or with coupons in hand and when I find stuff that I think I will use like the crafty lady did on her awesome tutorial blog, I buy it. I take it home, place it on a shelf and there it sits. I come up with many excuses not to do it such as I don't have the time or it won't look as good as hers and in the end, it just never gets done.

I have vinyl and glass jars, plastic Christmas ornaments, wooden plaques, canvases, and shadow boxes all piled up calling to me daily to either do something with them or get rid of them. I want to get rid of them and make room. I really do, but that little voice inside the back of my head keeps telling me that I will no sooner get rid of them and then I'll need them for whatever reason or project. In reality, it will never happen because I am past that phase of trying that thing but still.

The other serious problem that I have that causes me to hoard craft stuff is my "Oh, I like this!" personality. I have boxes of ribbon and twine and glitter glue and glitter mist and stacks and stacks of paper especially Graphic 45. Why? Because I try something, fall in love with it, use it non-stop and then I find the next great thing to fall in love with.

A great example is all the twine and ribbon I have stock piled just in case. When I started card making, I used ribbon. I loved ribbon. I wrapped my body in ribbon. Well, I didn't go that far but you get the picture. Then I joined a design team that was into bakers twine and I won a package of bakers twine in an online blog hop and my new passion turned to twine. It was a twine thing but because of it, the ribbon just sat there on the shelf calling out in soft flowing notes asking if I would ever use it again? Now I find that I really don't use either because I discovered glitter glue and glitter mist and my cards have became more simpler. Even the twine is unraveling in sorrow now.

Every day I walk into my craft room, scream in agony at the clutter and walk out. Maybe I'll go through it tomorrow. Today I think I'll start sewing. I saw this awesome video of a lady making an apron.

Have fun today no matter what your passion.

April Showers Blog Hop

We're so glad you are hopping with us today.
We've got all kinds of great baby and bridal shower related crafts and ideas for you.

You should have arrived here from Amanda.  If you just stopped by, be sure to hop to the Theresa's blog at scrapsbygracie.blogspot.com to get started and not miss any of the great projects.

Now on with the projects.

I love to color digital stamps for cards and either use alcohol markers, chalk, or colored pencils. I used alcohol markers on this spring time gal digital stamp from Bugaboo Stamps. It's a simple card but perfect for a birthday, hello or thank you.

Now on to my newest adventures ... sewing and machine embroidering.

<Here is the machine embroidery I did on the front side.

Above is the pillow once the hoop is off and it's sewn and full of fluff.
This is the backside of the pillow. I still have a long way to go but I'm learning and getting a little better each time I do a new project. My mother and grandmother loved to sew when I was growing up and they made it look so easy. It's not but it is rewarding in the end.

Thanks for hopping with us today. Be sure to comment on each blog along the way
