Pet's Blog Hop with the Creating Bog Hops Cafe

"Pet's" Blog Hop with The Creating Blog Hops Cafe'

Welcome to this month's blog hop with...
The Creating Blog Hops Cafe'
Love is in the air this month, so we wanted to show a little love to a our Fur-Babies.
Here we are in our second month on the last Saturday of the month to inspire you with some wonderful projects. This month's theme is..."Pet's"
So, grab yourself a Latte' and hop along with us while we proudly show off our projects and our Fur-Babies.

In less then a year we have upped our animal count by four fish but two died, one cat and just recently a new dog and to honor my new cat I have created a little kitty cat box to show you today.  I am working on creating a doggie one but not quite there yet.

This is our new cat, Bevo and if any of you are on my Facebook page, you'll know the difficult time we had adjusting to him and him to us. He wasn't taken care of very well before we got him but he's looking pretty dapper now. He's a Maine Coon and living up to his reputation of size and personality. He's around 10 pounds now but still considered a kitten in the world of Maine Coons. They don't reach their full size until between the ages of 3 and 5 so that means he could get up to 25 pounds but I think he will end up at around 15 pounds.

Thank you for stopping by today and please continue on to Lori's blog.

Up, Up and Away

I felt I needed to get my blog on today since I have more projects to post than I know what to do with them but I find myself getting side tracked all the time and then just forgetting.

I made this balloon project with Graphic 45 paper and one of the sets from SVG Attic.

I was going through my stash of paper and when I saw the pigs with wings and the saying "When pigs fly." I just knew it was perfect for my project.

The embellishments on this balloon box are from Miriam's Crafting Supplies and the bottom of this is a box that can be filled with candy.

Have a great day!

Birthday Magic

Some cards are easier than others to put together and this was one of those easy cards. I flipped on my gypsy and the first cartridge that appeared was A Child's Year and from there everything just fell into place for the birthday card I made for my dear crafting friend Lynne.

I discovered this charming child fairy on the cartridge and cut her out on my Cricut at 4 inches tall. I did a shadow behind her but was surprised it wasn't as big as it was suppose to be but yet it worked without me having to cut another shadow out. I used Stickles glitter glue in Stardust to outline the wings and Liquid Pearls in Buttercup for the star on the end of the wand. I had some ready made paper flowers that I sprayed with Perfect Pearls Mist in Turquoise. I used my Sizzix Big Shot and Spellbinders Nestabliliteies S4-246 for the background behind my child fairy. Finally, I added an corner from Miriam's Crafting Supplies.

Thanks for stopping and I hope I have inspired you some today.

Until next time, crafting hugs from me to you.

Love comes in many shapes by Jearise

Today I am showcasing a card I made using a few different cartridges and my Cricut machine. The card is for Valentine's Day but I got creative with the background and welded some different kinds of hearts together so the hearts are different sized and inside a square on one side and a circle on the other.

 Products from Cutters Creek:

Stickles - Color: Grape Ice for the work love and the hearts at the bottom of the card
ATG tape
Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive
Glue Dots

Hearts from the Heart using my eClips

I decided to dig out the eClips cartridges I bought awhile back and start to use them. I make my own svg patterns or use ones I have bought or gotten through a design team I'm on so I rarely use cartridges any more and I thought that I really need to dig them out and use them.

I made three heart boxes for my children. I'll fill each of these with goodies on Valentine's day but for now they are a pretty decoration on my window sill.

The designs on the second and third boxes also came off a eClips cartridge and I used my Big Shot to give the red heart some texture. I used pink Perfect Pearls mist on the black glossy heart too.

Cartridge name: Valentine's Day and Hearts

Thanks for stopping by today.

Spring Hearts Basket

Good morning dear friends...

I've been in my craft room getting ready for Valentine's Day and in a little over a week we'll be giving candy and cards of love to everyone we know or so it seems. That's because I have two little ones in school who love to hand out the Valentine cards. I like making my Valentine boxes and candy holders for the kids instead of buying the chocolate heart box. I get to put what I want in them and how much of what I want and today I am showing you one of those little boxes that's more in the shape of a pail and besides having hearts it has a few spring flowers.

This was a quick and fun little box to put together thanks to SVG Attic. I used their newest set Sweet Shop Party for the box part, Erin's Scalloped Borders for the handle and 3D Spring Flowers for the daisy.

I loved making this box so much I plan on making a few more to fill with goodies and to hand off to some very special teachers next week.

Head to SVG Attic for their newest set Sweet Shop Party and for many more wonderful svg cutting files!

If you have never hopped before it is fun and inspiring, so grab your favorite drink and stay awhile for these inspirational valentine projects that are linked one after another.  I have provided a layout sketch and a card sketch for the team to go with, and have them show you their take on how they will interpret  this piece of art.  They only have to one or the other, I chose to do both, stick around for the blog candy that I am giving away for those who have stopped by.  Here are the sketches..
