SVG Attic - Monday's Project

Don't you love the holidays with the parties, gift exchanges, and cookie exchanges? The holidays are always an excuse for me to bake and hand out goodies to neighbors and friends and I found the cookie box from the set "Cookies for Santa" at SVG Attic is perfect for my yummy treats.

There is an insert you can make to keep your cookies separated but I was using those cute little cupcake holders for my cookies so I didn't make and add them.
I cut the box bottom at 11.25 inches and the box top at 11.30 inches so I would have a little extra sizing so the top fits easier on the bottom. I also added an extra cardstock bottom insert for extra support.
I found that the acetate photo holders for scrapbooks work great for the see through windows for these type of boxes and the photo holders aren't that expensive and you can use a coupon on them at most craft stores that have weekly coupons.
I love this star! It is from the set "O Christmas Tree." I cut it out a little bigger than I expected so I went back with my craft scissors and put a pretty edging on it. I used gold embossing powder too.
This was my final project full of yummys for my cookie exchange.  There is an extra band that goes around the window but I decided since I was using the star that I didn't need the band on this box but I know I will be adding it to my next one since I have already picked out the cardstock.
