This month I sent hand made cards to the Huron Care Facility and I asked that they be distributed among the residents that don't get many if any visitors. Here are the cards I made. I try to make them all a little different so the person receiving them feels special.
Thank you for stopping by today and if you're interested in making cards for those who are forgotten such as veterans and the elderly, please contact me by leaving a message here or visit my facebook page at lorby's world of caring and ask to join.
We pick a new place to send our cards each month and you're not committed to send cards every month and if you can only send one card, that's fine too.
Join me tomorrow as I start counting down to Easter with a project a day to show you and how I did it.
I have joined Miriam's Crafting Supplies monthly challenge: Shades of Green
Cards 5 and 6 use yellow rhinestones from Miraim's Crafting Supplies.

Chalky Challenge
I hope you are enjoying your week so far and not being bothered too much by this strange weather we're having. As some of you know, I live in Austin, Texas area now and the weather is even freaky here this winter. We've actually had days off or delays at school due to ice. One day it's warm and the next there is below freezing and ice. Our old stomping ground of Tucson is just getting extremely warm weather and it sounds like everyone is wearing shorts there already and then back east in Michigan where I grew up, they are still snowed in.
If you are snowed in or just don't want to go out in the cold, then start crafting an include some chalk in any way shape or form on your project and enter your creation in our monthly challenge at Chalk N Stock.
Here is what I created for the design team this money. I used some chalk to color parts of the digital stamp and to ink the edges.
Thank so much for stopping by and hope to see your creations in the Chalk N Stock monthly challenge.

Welcome to this month's blog hop with The Krazy Crafting Crew!! This
month we are making Tags, Bags, Boxes and whatever can be made 3D!! If
you just came by to visit with me, thank you, but please start at the
first stop with our hostess, Janet at Janet's Creative World.
Janet is also offering a fantastic giveaway. Here's her description of the giveaway that you DON'T want to miss!!
Close To My Heart Cloud Nine Cardmaking Kit. Includes card bases, envelopes, cardstock, double sided paper, a stamp set, and washi tape, glitter tape and other embellishments to make 10 cards! Valued at $45.00! You can win this by leaving comments on each blog, and if you're not currently a follower, why not follow the blogs because there's always fun in this group and a blog hop each month to inspire you!
Here's my creation for this month's hop:
I used the winner's cup from the set A Day at the Races from SVG Attic to make this. I'm not finished yet because I have so many different ideas as to what to do. As I was getting ready to take this picture, I thought would it be cool to wrap tulle around the bottom but I don't have any tulle to match it. I think I need a Michael's run.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting with me today. Please leave us a comment and let us know how you like our hop!! Now hop on over to the next stop with Miranda.
