You Light Up My Life Blog Hop, Feb. 13th

You light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on
You light up my days
and fill my nights with song

Jearise from Lorby's World is our hostess for today's hop which takes a look at all those things that light up our lives be it a significant other, children, place or pets. Enjoy what they have come up with as you hop along and please leave a comment on each blog to light up their life today. Some may be giving blog candy away so keep an eye open to see and you never know...You're life may be lit up.

***************************

Welcome and let's get this hop started. I am Jearise in my own little World called Lorby's World. There are wonderful people, places and pets in my world. I have four children whom I love very much and a dog named Waggles who is everyone's best friend but the person who lights up my life every day is my husband, Greg.

Greg and I have been married for almost 14 years. We got married in our 30's and started a family in our 30's and into the 40's. Our marriage has had it's ups and downs but without each other we would be lost so to honor this wonderful man, who lights up my life, I have taken some of our favorite wedding pictures and made a shadow box that will adore one of the walls in our new house once we settle in Austin, Texas.

Lights on....
I designed the roses myself and used my eClips to cut them out. I inked them in red and glitter misted them. I used pewter color heat embossing powder around the edges of the page for the design. I stayed with red, black and white because those were our wedding colors.
I also design for SVG Attic and they are our wonderful sponsors for this event and I have taken one of my favorite files from their store and made it into a Valentine's picture frame to put an updated picture of my husband and I in.

I used the "Love Card" file from the "Be Mine" set to create this frame to put a picture of hubby and I in. I just love the way it turned out. The "Love Card" file is suppose to be a postage stamp Valentine's card but I did some tweeking and turned it into the frame. All the elements you need for this card are in that one file which is part of a set that also has a gift card holder, heart gift box and a rose gift box. Right now all the SVG cut files at SVG Attic are 50% off too.
I didn't want all the colors of the card to be the same ol' red, pink and white so I threw in some black and brown with a dab of yellow Stickles.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and hop today. I hope you will continue on to all the blogs and see what lights up each person's life and keep and eye open for blog candy as you go along. Also, make sure you make it to Jessica's blog at the end since she is our sponsor for this hop.

Hugs from Jearise in Lorby's World and please continue on the lighted path to Katie's blog.

  1. I absolutely adore that border and wonder how you designed it? Is it a pattern you created with your eClips...or a stencil, or freehand?!
