November Challenge for Miriam's Crafting Supplies

Today I would like to share a tag that I made for the Miriam's Crafting Supplies November challenge. This month we were asked to use the beautiful digital journal New Beginnings from Tsunami Rose and a bronze tone metal flower accent  and half pearls from Miriam's Crafting Supplies.

I don't make to many tags so I was very happy with the way this one came together and it's final look. I would love to see what you create this month and hope you will join us for this newest challenge at Miriam's Crafting Supplies.

Thanksgiving Card for Cutter's Creek

Hello all my Cutter's Creek friends. I am getting into the Thanksgiving spirit even though I feel Halloween came and went to fast and I still have lots of Halloween ideas running through my head. I love sending out Thanksgiving cards to friends and family and that is what I would like to show you today.

All the paper is from the 6 x 6 paper pad from Remembrance by Authentique. You can inquire to Kim if you are interested in it. It's beautiful paper and lovely for cards.

I also used:

Stickles in Diamonds for the middle of the flowers and the border in the middle of the card.
Glimmer Mist in graphite metallic for the flowers to tone down the yellow and give them an aged look.
Cuddle Bug embossing folder for the embossed design.
Tim Holz Distress ink in ted dye color for the edges.
AGT glider to hold it all together.

The flowers are from the cutting set Autumn Splendor from SVG Attic.

DT project for Chalk N Stock

Welcome to this month's challenge over at Chalk N Stock. Our theme is always Anything Goes as long as there is chalk involved.  Our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps and I have used one of their stamps to complete my card today.

I colored the clocks and background of the digital stamp with chalk and I also used chalk ink to bring out my embossing on the background. The sweet little pocket watch charm is from Miriam's Crafting Supplies.

I am sharing this card and bookmark I made. I love the colors of fall and used them in this set. My sentiment, which is raised with pop dots, embossed background and dragonfly charm make for an amazing project. Bookmarks with matching card make for something a little extra for a friend or family member.

Here is my ghostly creation for this hop... This is a pop up ghost card I created myself in Inkscape. I am learning how to make pop up cards and have found there are a lot of different ways to make them but here is one way. Hope you like it.

STT - Candy Bar Wrapper Blog Hops

This month the Scraps to Treasure team was asked to use our scraps to make candy wrappers. I had a hard time wrapping my mind around this one. See, I just made a pun there. :) I got out my scraps and thought and thought and then I laid eyes on some solid black scrap paper and an idea hit me and here it is.

I love how these look even if I need a few drawing lessons especially for that ghost.

Now how I did them...

I got my Perfect Pearls Mists out and started misting away. The first one I sprayed sunflower sparkle on the bottom and then once that dry I sprayed turquoise in one part and pink gumball in the other. I used just pink gumball on the bottom. 

Finally when all was dried I used a silver metallic pen to draw my pictures and write my words. I used my heat gun on the multi-layered one to make it dry faster before writing on it..

This layering project is so easy and even though I used it for my candy wrapper it can be used for any projects from a card to a cut out.

One thing before I go, if you are in search of candy wrapper sizes to make your own I have found an awesome site where the lady has listed all the sizes you will need for most any candy bar out there. The site is called Wendy Tunison Designs.
